"The Festival of the Arts, a tradition surpassing half a century in Grand Rapids, Michigan, annually unveils an artistically crafted poster representing the event that engulfs our vibrant downtown. I am profoundly honored to have been chosen for the task of illustrating 2021’s poster. As a child, attending this festival with my mother was an eagerly awaited annual ritual. It was a platform where creativity met community, significantly shaping my perceptions and expanding my horizons in art and imagination.
